Matteo Tretti Clementoni, MD

Matteo Tretti Clementoni, 48 yrs old, is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon. Graduating summa cum laude at the University of Bologna in 1993 he went on to medical school at the University of Pavia where he concluded his residency program in 1999. He is member of the SICPRE (Società Italiana di Chirurgia Plastica Ricostruttiva ed Estetica), ASLMS (American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery - Fellow), ESLAS (European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery), ESLD (European Society for Laser Dermatolgy), SIDCO (Società Italiana di Dermatologia Chirurgica ed Oncologica), AICPE (Associazione Italiana Chirurgia Plastica Estetica) and he is honorary member of the SASDS (South African Society of Dermatologic Surgery), founding member of DASIL (Dermatologic and Aesthetic Surgery International League) and COSMEDICA. He is also member of the 中國激光協會(Chinese Laser Association) and the ABL (Academia Brasileira de Laser e Fotomedicina). He took part at 4 surgical voluntary missions in Asia and Africa (becoming chief of the mission in the last one in 1999) treating mostly pediatric malformations and severe burn scars. He started, as private practice, his laser activity in 1996 and now he is author of many papers and he attended, as speaker, at many national and international meetings. Laser professor for the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 2006 Master's Course he was also professor during the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery 2007 Master's Course. Professor of the Italian Laser Surgery School in 2005 and 2006 he is Laser professor at the Master in Aesthetic Dermatology since 2009 and Laser Professor of the Aesthetic Laser Surgery School since 2008. He is also Member of the National Advisory Board of Hi-Tech Dermo, reviewer of the JEADV, of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy.


Gerd Gauglitz

Gerd Gauglitz  is the head of the Department of Aesthetic Dermatology and Lasermedicine at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.

He has been studying clinically as well as scientifically on the topic of optimal scar healing since his PhD thesis in various research fellowships in Singapore and the USA. Due to his intensive scientific work, long-standing clinical experience, active participation in national and international congresses, as well as the publication of numerous publications and book chapters, he is today regarded as a nationally and internationally recognized expert on minimally invasive aesthetic procedures and for the treatment of unsightly surgery- And combustion paints. In everyday clinical practice, Dr. Gauglitz focuses on the individual patient. In spite of the large number of patients, he has given him a detailed consultation on the desired treatments, possible side effects and alternative therapeutic approaches.

Especially in the field of minimal aesthetic procedures, Dr. Gauglitz is a well-known advocate of scientifically founded approaches that promise the most natural results possible with maximum patient safety.


Peter Shumaker, MD

Peter Shumaker, MD, currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD).  He carries an appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and is an instructor in Mohs and procedural dermatology in the residency training program at NMCSD.  For nearly a decade Dr. Shumaker and colleagues have been dedicated to facilitating the functional and cosmetic recovery of patients with traumatic scarring and other related injuries.  He has presented nationally and internationally on cutting edge scar management, co-authored articles published in top journals from 7 different medical specialties, has led an annual national multidisciplinary Summit on trauma rehabilitation for the last 5 years, and has been team lead for a multi-year engagement in burn scar revision and restorative medicine in Vietnam.


Jill S. Waibel, MD

Dr. Waibel practices as a board certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology,  cutaneous laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology for adults and children.   She is in private practice in Miami, Florida and Coral Gables, Florida.

She is currently the medical director and owner of the Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute in Miami.   Dr. Waibel is the subsection chief of Dermatology at Baptist Hospital.   In addition Dr. Waibel serves as a Clinical Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami.

She is a world-recognized leader in dermatologic laser surgery and lectures all over the world to train other physicians.  In her practice she has over 40 laser devices and treats a wide variety of cutaneous disease.  Dr. Waibel is active in basic science clinical trials at the University of Miami and has a clinical trials division Miami Dermatology and Research.

One of Dr. Waibel’s primary passions is the treatment of scars by applying today’s latest cutaneous laser technologies. She has successfully developed industry-leading procedures and techniques with lasers, received numerous awards for her contributions to medicine, and published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and several textbook chapters.

She was named “Person of the Week” on ABC World News Tonight in 2015, and was recently granted a Cutting Edge Research Grant by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to medicine, including an award given by Surgeon General Koop.  The 2016 JDD Humanitarian Award has been given to Dr. Waibel for her innovative work in using lasers to treat patients with traumatic burn injuries.   Dr. Waibel lectures, collaborates and trains military physicians to help the wounded warriors.

Dr. Waibel makes her home in Coral Gables with her husband and four children.
